ABOUT US

Metropolitan Police Polish Association (MPPA) is a formally recognised and approved staff network within the Metropolitan Police Service in London. We assist officers and civilian staff members. The association represents its members’ views and those of the wider Polish community at all levels in the MPS.

MPPA was created in 2010 by a group of very passionate MPS employees. The association now consists of over 200 members and is recognised on the national and international levels.

What we do:

  • Promote an understanding of the Polish community within the MPS

  • Represent our members views and review corporate policies as an active member of the staff support associations (SSA)

  • Organise and play an active role in Polish related social events

  • Act as a reference for cultural issues affecting front line policing

  • Provide advice and support to our members

Metropolitan Police Polish Association recognised the clear need to have a united and central voice to represent serving police officers and staff.

Since MPPA's inception we continue to grow through a network of officers and staff in UK police forces as well as internationally.

As an association we value equality, diversity and inclusion and have worked with Polish organisations and various forces to promote equality in the police service and raise awareness of the largest minority in UK , our needs and contributions to the UK society.

MPPA has acted as a network of support to our members and has supported the launch of various new Polish staff associations in the UK police forces.

Our relationship extends to the wider Polish community and MPPA continues to develop closer working partnerships with members of the community, Polish churches and community-based NGO’s.

MPPA prides itself in being the biggest Polish organisation in emergency services in the UK.
